OT: Google Earth context menu

Recommended Posts

Could a Google Earth user kindly check a simple point for me please? Does your context menu look like this when you right click the My Places folder?

GE-ContextMenu-1.jpg

The reason I ask is that yesterday a macro containing the line

Text Type (Simulate Keystrokes): <ARROW DOWN><ARROW DOWN><ARROW DOWN><ARROW DOWN><ARROW DOWN>

was working successfully, selecting Save Place As... with those five Arrow Down commands (starting with My Places selected). yet today it needs six of them!

Presumably an extra item has been added in the menu, ahead of my target, but I'm darned if i can see why.

Edit: Now I do, no real mystery after all, duh!

I closed and re-opened GE and the context menu for My Places now has no Paste entry. It plainly depends on whether another entry has been copied.

My solution was to use Arrow Up commands instead.

Thanks Alan but unfortunately not! The mighty Google doesn't provide the familiar accelerator keys. I've attempted to give them feedback about this but their 'Send feedback' system doesn't work either!

FYI:

But my revised method is working reliably anyway:

Text Type (Simulate Keystrokes): <SHIFT><F10> // Open context menu.
Delay: 0.2 seconds
Text Type (Simulate Keystrokes): <ARROW UP><ARROW UP><ARROW UP>
Delay: 0.1 seconds
Text Type (Simulate Keystrokes): <ENTER>
