  1. Ditto. Mine slows to impossibly slow crawl with no CPU load until I kill Macro Express Pro (v4.1.5.1). Two "MEProx64" process running each time this happens. When only one "MEProx64.exe" process running system is OK. I have tried to explore further with Process Explorer, etc. but system too hopelessly slow when this occurs and gave up. Came to ME-forum to see if others having same issue. Just in case, I disabled my few 'scheduled' macros but problem still occurs. I have no idea how, when or why that 2nd "MEProx64.ex" shows up but always there when system goes into molasses mode. I quit processes to near retail Win7 minimum but slow down only clears when finally (or first) killing ME. I re-wrote my most used scripts in AutoIt and quit using ME as a startup until fix is hopefully found. I have been loving and using ME since 2003. 234 macros currently indexed (though maybe 25% are obsolete and disabled). 2. Yes, it just seems to be with Windows RDP only as far as I can tell. I have used several other non-Windows RATs without (noticing) this happening. No biggie. As usual, I find other (non-Windows) utilities to be either more useful and/or less problematic. For instance, there is some screen oddness with "Windows" Remote Invite on the remote host computer... I can see their screen and their firewall (Kerio PF) prompt them to allow control access (allow, deny, etc.), they do not see these prompts on their screen, and while I can see their screen and these prompts I do not yet have mouse or keyboard control. Very messy to deal with. For now I'll stick with UltraVNC, UltraVNC SC, RemoteAnything, LogMeIn, etc. Thank you for your response. I'll not worry about it. If I try working with Windows Remote Invititation again and notice registry changes or other that might account for the blushing M I'll post back here. It might be good and useful to know remote access has occurred! Scott
  3. I have just noticed in the past two days that sometimes the MacroExpress tray icon is red instead of blue. It is not the "Suspend" icon with the circle and line, but a M as you can see, 2nd from left icon I have tried to search the forum for 'red tray icon' but all the words are to short and the search is refused so I apologize if this has been asked before. Did not find reference in the help file either. What does the M icon mean, this is new to me? Scott
  4. Thanks! That found it, it was an old playable macro for my 7 button wireless mouse that closes what ever window is under curser. Seems my mouse is going a bit nutso with that button. Got a lot worse today. Hopefully a rebuild and cleaning of the mouse will fix it. (Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2 model 1007) I love this mouse, unhappy without it, but they only function for about 18 month average and then fail completely, I am on mouse #3. If I were paranoid I would think they have a built in program to self destruct after so many months. Scott
  5. Is there a way to generate a log of MacroExpress "events" so I can trace down what macro might be causing this?? The past several days I have had the top most Firefox window (with many tabs open) close unexpectedly. My system logs show each time at that moment MacroExpress became active but I am unable to trace it down to a specific macro. I have not created any macros in the past 10 days and others created since the first of the year can be ruled out. The ME error log is not showing anything. It only happens maybe 3 times in a 10 hour period (perhaps 8 or 9 times over the last three days). I have disabled all "scheduled" macros and "shortkeys" and disabled all others that I can think of as outside possibilities but it still happens. The only thing I can think to do is as the last line of every macro script insert a Log Message command or Email Send. But with all the macros I rely on that would be a nightmare. I have years worth of accumulated macros. Any ideas?? This may have started happening around the time of last Firefox update to v2.0.0.12, Scott MacroExpress v3.7.3.1 Windows XP Pro sp2
  6. I have recently switched from dialup to broadband With dialup I had a macro to toggle my connection: dialup if offline or hangup if online. I am stumped how to do this with the broadband "Local Area Connection" enable/disable. Any help appreciated. (Windows XP) Thanks, Scott
  7. Thanks, but I figured out how to do this... I have used the Memorex Wireless ScrollPro Optical Five Button Mouse for years. The center button and the buttons on either side of the mouse can be set to any one of 57 different functions. Some of the functions are simple key functions, such as "F10". All I had to do was use "F10" as the activator of a MacroExpress script. I should have thought of this before, so simple! Thanks, Scott PS. So now if I click the starboard side mouse button the active window will close, unless the active window is a mozilla "Firefox" browser window in which case it will close the active tab (or window if only one tab). <IFOTH:11:2:Mozilla Firefox> <WCLS:"CURRENT"> <ELSE> <TEXTTYPE:<CTRLD>w<CTRLU>> <ENDIF>
  8. My first question after 15 months of using MacroExpress, very user friendly program! I have a five button mouse (memorex wireless optical mouse) which uses "Browser Mouse" utility to define mouse buttons from a fixed set of definitions. I would like to "reprogram" the side buttons (buttons four and five). Is this possible with MacroExpress? Thanks, Scott
