For an example, I want to create a macro which creates text file automatically in specified folders on each day. User of macro will get to select certain options and macro will enter this detail in text file. Basically, it's time tracking macro. From this time to this time, user was doing this work. So i want macro to enter start time and time of user activity into specified text file.

Hello IPS community, I am new to macros and I want to learn it thoroughly. For your information, I don't have any knowledge about coding or programming. Now, my question is about variables. I think it's impossible to use macro express effectively without variables so can anybody explain me about what is variables and how to use it in macros?
