  1. I've downloaded the Pro version as a trial, before considering upgrading from the standard version. When I try to create a new macro, I get into the Script editor, and all seems well until I try to close the script editor, using the Save & close icon. I then get the registration reminder box, and click on continue, and end up in the script editor again. If I try simply to exit, I get the "confirm save" dialog and go round in a circle again. The standard version works fine, on Vista home premium. Any thoughts? Iain
  2. Is it possible to run ME from a USB memory stick - without installing it on the local PC? Thanks Iain
  3. I want to detect whether say the F5 key or the F6 key has been pressed whilst a macro is running. Something on the lines of If F5 pressed do X If F6 pressed do y If neither pressed finish the rest of the macro which will loop back round and regularly detect those key presses Any clues? Iain
  4. Is it possible to protect a Macro, so that users cannot abort it? If not is there a way to run some code before it aborts? Thanks Iain
  5. Thanks - yes it relates to a Windows Terminal Services program. The wierd thing is that the macro works fine when set to crtl-I but fails when it's called at the start of a different macro. I'll play around with it!
  6. I have a very simple macro that opens a text file based on a server. It works just fine. I have copied it to a new macro using copy and paste (to add more instructions) and it no longer works. Specificallly, the text that the macro uses to open the file changes. So the Text type shows "\\emis8803a\practice\reports\x-patient-id" This comes out in the open file dialog as "||EMIS**)"|PRACTICE|REPORTS|X_PATIENT_ID>RTF" I thought it had to have something to do with caps lock - but inserting Caps Off doesn't change it & as I say, these are two identical macros (apart from their name and some disabled commands in the new one) Any ideas?
  7. Shame - it would make output much more interesting - perhaps it could be done via HTA in the meantime? I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future!
  8. Hello! Is there a way to have different fonts or colours in a text display box? I would ideally like to be able to change these "on the fly" depending on the contents of the variables to be displayed. Thanks Iain
