  1. I am sorry.....I thought this response had gone out: When i move the pointer to the NEXT thing, the pointer becomes a hand. Also, this is visible in a window: <button class="next" data-ember-action="" data-ember-action-6272="6272"> <div class="next-text"> Next </div> <span class="svg-icon-wrap"><span class="visually-hidden">Next</span><li-icon aria-hidden="true" type="chevron-right-icon" size="small"><svg viewBox="0 0 24 24" width="24px" height="24px" x="0" y="0" preserveAspectRatio="xMinYMin meet" class="artdeco-icon" focusable="false"><path d="M9,8L5,2.07,6.54,1l4.2,6.15a1.5,1.5,0,0,1,0,1.69L6.54,15,5,13.93Z" class="small-icon" style="fill-opacity: 1"></path></svg></li-icon></span> </button>
  2. 'all I want to do is : a. hit a hotkey & allow the macro to locate the cursor to top left of webpage; b. Press ^A to select all contents and then ^c to copy the page to clipboard; c. Then, click on the little "NEXT===>" near page bottom to go to the next webpage; I can't remember how!!!!!!!!!! Can someone tell me? Thanks, Jeff
  3. I have one macro file for all the macro's I've created for my office. 'Problem is that long ago I must have somehow copied all the PGM macros into the same macro file and now I want to remove all the PGA macro's, but IT WON'T LET ME DELETE THEM WITHOUT A PASSWORD - SOMETHING I DON'T HAVE. How can I separate the PGM macro's from the macro's that I created???? Thanks (and a big HELLO AGAIN to CORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff Mazor
  4. Many of our workstations, including mine, use WordPerfect along with scores of entries in its QuickCorrect tool. Many of those are identical to some of the shortkeys I have in my computer in MacroExpress. Since I have both WordPerfect and MacoExpress on my machine, and the MEx scopes are set to "global", sometimes the two programs don't play well together ............; i.e., BOTH quickCorrect and the corresponding macro will type the word, and I get "Plaintiffplaintiff". Eventually, in WordPerfect, I'll change the prefix from a period to a comma, and that should do it. In the meanwhile, can you suggest a way for me to change the scope of the involved macros on my one workstation, all at once using MacroExpress? I'd like to be able to highlight all the 100+ items and right-click to change the Scope on all of them to "Global Except" WordPerfect. Is there any way to do something like that? 5. Thank you. None of those helped, but you gave me an idea. It seems that doing the hotkey twice works, but programming two left clicks does not.
  6. Thanks. That was a good idea.....but alas, it dooes not work either. Jeff
  7. Thank you. Your answer seemed totally logical, but wordperfect still mostly ignores it. Buttons in WP Dialog Boxes. I just discovered that the [Alt+Z] macro works fine on buttons in WP dialog boxes. Toolbar Icons in Other Programs. It works fine on Toolbar Icons in IE, Adobe Reader, TimeMatters, etc. WP Toolbar Icons. Maybe there is something odd about the WordPerfect toolbar icons? When I hit the hotkey while hovering over a toolbar icon, WP usually ignores it. Sometimes, but not always, if I hit the hotkey, pause, and hit it again, WP takes it as a left click. Mean something? Jeff
  8. Thank you both. Apparently this [Alt+Z} macro and a double-click version [Alt+Shift+Z] work fine everywhere except in WordPerfect: <MACRO PLAYBACK SPEED Speed="1"/> <MOUSE LEFT CLICK/> Can't find any conflicts. WordPerfect is not using [Alt+z] and switching to [Alt+FunctionKey] does not help either. Its strange, but when I highlight an icon in a WordPerfect toolbar and press [Alt+Z], it just makes a 'thunk' sound. Any further insight would be appreciated. Jeff
  9. I can use my right hand to position the mouse pointer over a checkbox, icon, button, control, etc. But right now, I can't use my right hand fingers to click the mouse buttons. All I want is to position the pointer with my right hand, and use my left to press [Alt+Z] to Left-Click or [Alt+X] to double-left-click. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works. All I get is a little beep. Please, any ideas?
  10. Let me try to explain this a bit more simply. I have a folder I want to watch with a 1000 subfolders with even more files. I want to be able to quickly detect the new file, and the Repeat with Folder command takes over a half hour to run through all the files in the subfolders. Is there someway the activation can also deposit the new file and path into a variable to start with?
  11. Don't want to be a pest, but can you give me an example? I need ME to notice the new file (as long as it does not end in "-ocr.pdf"), and then do things with it. ME would watch folder F:\WP\ and its about 1000 subfolders (like F:\WP\Cases\4000\) for added image files that do NOT end in "-ocr.pdf" (like "MartinSmith.pdf"). When one is added, ME would copy that file to a corresponding folder in F:\Raw\, such as F:\Raw\Cases\4000\MartinSmith.pdf. Then ME would (i) have OmniPage ocr the "Raw" file, (ii) rename the result by adding "-ocr" before the ".pdf", and (iii) save to the original folder. Since ME will ignore files that end in "-ocr.pdf", it will ignore the new "F:\WP\Cases\4000\MartinSmith-ocr.pdf." I hope I'm being clear. I fear that the file watching will consume so much time, that it will be impractically slow. Thanks for reading this. Jeffrey R. Mazor, Esq. J. R. Mazor & Associates, P.A. 12. "use the activation of directory modification and then suck the new file name as a string and parse out the bits to be used in the logic of your filing. CORY: How would I do this? It would be great, cause I could then send thd file to OmniPage for OCR and renaming (addiing "-ocr" before the ".pdf" Please call if you can. Jeff 954-962-3500
  13. I"m new to V4. I use OmniPage to automatically OCR incoming email attachments files and pdf them. Due to OmniPage limitations, the resulting files have to get saved in one particular folder ("F:\New OCR's") in this format: "1234;Johnson.pdf" OR "1234567;Contract.pdf", where the 4 or 7 digits before the first semicolon are the case account number. Can ME watch that output folder and when a new file appears, copy the file to a new directory based upon the filename and save under a slightly different name. Examples: "1234;Johnson.pdf" would be saved to folder S:\1234\ as "S:\1234\1234;Johnson;OCR'd.pdf" "1234567;Contract.pdf" would be saved to folder S:\1234567\ as "S:\1234567\1234567;Contract;OCR'd.pdf" Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff Mazor
  14. Kevin - I should have thought of that. But I have been using other punctuation for different groups of shortkeys (e.g., periods for most shortkeys, semicolons for shortkeys "written" by my case management system, commas for shortkeys corresponding to the names, emails, phones, etc. of people we frequently refer to), so it may not work out. I hope that you will consider my suggestion.
  15. If someone knows how to accomplish this, that would be great. Otherwise, maybe the intrepid programmers can take this as a suggestion: I know that we can use the Case Sensitivity setting for a given macro to enable the case of the first letter in a shortkey to control the case of the first letter of the resulting text, like this: Shortkey: bnk Result: bankruptcy Shortkey: Bnk Result: Bankruptcy However, my entire shortkey library uses leading punctuation characters, so the actual shortkey is ".bnk" or ".Bnk". Obviously, that means that the first character is always a punctuation mark, and the first letter ameanable to upper and lower case is actually the second character. Also, I can't even consider changing the structure. I know that I can make the entire shortkey case sensitive, but that would create too many potential versions of the shortkeys and be more trouble than its worth. My solution has been to ignore case sensitivity and just add an "x" to the shortkeys. For example: Shortkey: bnk Result: bankruptcy Shortkey: bnkx Result: Bankruptcy I was wondering if anyone had a better idea. Otherwise, maybe the feature could enable the user to chose to use the first OR the second character of a shortkey to control the case of the text?
