amontandon
Hello all. I've been using macro express 3 for a while now and I love it. But I have a question, I want to have a macro that ONLY runs when the windows desktop is the frontmost window. I was thinking that the ACTIVATION should be WINDOW TITLE - but I dont know what the "title" of the desktop actualy is. The reason for this macro is that I have a PC that I only want to do one thing on, like run one .exe on startup. If the person quits the .exe, or if the .exe crashes, it goes to the windows desktop. I want macroexpress to detect that the user is on the desktop and run a macro. Is there a way to do it like this, or is there a better way? Thanks adam
joe
I think it's "Program Manager". You can check by creating a little macro that moves the mouse to the desktop, clicks, and then sets a string to the topmost window title.
amontandon
Program Manager seems to work fine, but only when that window is activated (eg if a program crashes/quits, you'd then have to click on the desktop for the macro to start) is there a way to do it so that you wouldnt have to click on the desktop to activate it?
