cyberchief
Has anyone been successful or found a way to use a new incoming email as an activation? Sepcifically, we receive 2 emails a day that has specific words in the subject line... and I need macro (even on a schedule) to detect that email, open and download attachments, and process the files and archive/move the processed email. Anyone done anything like this before?
kevin
I remember a discussion about this some time ago but after a 30 second I could not find where it was discussed previously. Outlook and Outlook Express have the ability to launch a program when a specific email message is detected. Other email clients may also have this feature. You can tell Outlook to run a playable macro or you can call meproc with the macro name that you want to run.
Cory
In Outlook just use the rules wizard. Here you can set the determining factor and have it launch a program.
