TsunamiZ Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 How about optimizing to improve loading speed of Macro Express Editor? I have a well maintained fast modern PC and Macro Express Editor loads less than instantly. It shows up after ~2 second delay after pressing ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+W. Any possibility? Quote
kevin Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Macro Express consists of two main programs, the Player and Editor. It is optimized this way to reduce the amount of memory used when running macros. When you click to open the editor it is the same as loading a new application. At 6 megabytes the Editor is a moderately large application. And 2 seconds is pretty quick. If you have plenty of memory you can leave the the editor loaded all the time. Click Options, Preferences, Startup and enable 'Start Editor on startup of Macro Express'. You may also want to enable the 'Minimize Editor' option. Quote
TsunamiZ Posted August 7, 2007 Author Report Posted August 7, 2007 i did that but still doesn't improve the loading time. it only pops up the editor on startup. Quote
