IceBox
Hey all. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem, or if anyone knows how to fix it. When using Microsoft Office Communicator (Desktop Application, not the web-based version), pressing Win+Q will open your contact list. If you program a macro with a hotkey of Win+Q, it does not override this, like it normally should. Even with the macro programmed, and activated, Win+Q will still open your Communicator contact list. Any ideas? Thanks, -- Mike
kevin
Microsoft does this for several Win key combinations. They are trapped by Windows before the normal keyboard processing. This is the first time I've heard that one of them being trapped by an application, however.
johnboy691
Mike: My company uses Microsoft Communicator also and this same thing happens with us and the Win+Q hot key. I have had this happen on other programs and/or hot keys usually with basic Microsoft applications. I therefore try to stay away from those combinations. Not much help, but at least you know you're not alone. John
