doctorjerry
I need to get to the Device Manager in Windows XP. Is there a direct way to open up that window in Computer Management? I've been using mouse movements and clicks on an icon, but would like to open it with a command. Jerome
johnboy691
Jerome: Hope this helps. To access Device Manager, press [Windows][break] to access the System Properties dialog box. Then, use the arrow keys to access the Hardware tab. Press the [Tab] key, select the Device Manager button, and press [Enter]. John
kevin
To do this from Macro Express use the Program Launch macro command and put 'c:\Windows\System32\devmgmt.msc' in the 'Program Path/Name' field. Adjust the path if your System32 directory is in a different location. This works on Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista. A quick Google search will show other techniques to use for Windows 95/98/Me.
