Morgan Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I'm running ME3.8 on Windows 7. I tried to run a Control Panel Applet to control the sound. The Sound applet does not appear under the list in "Choose an applet" so I tried to Enter the Name of an applet. I tried "sound.cpl" which didn't work. I then searched for *.cpl and discovered all of the applets for control panel in windows/system32. None of the applets listed appear to be the sound applet, however. Does anyone know the exact name of the CP applet for opening the Sound Control? I'm stumped. Or, is there an easier way to use a macro to switch the sound Playback Device from Speakers to Headphones, etc. Thanks. M Quote

Try mmsys.cpl, I assume that the mm stands for Multimedia. On the 64 bit version of Windows 7 this is in both c:\Windows\System32 and c:\Windows\SysWOW64. Quote
