Cory Posted June 17, 2011 Report Share Posted June 17, 2011 I’ve often advocated the use of VMs here and I had a bad experience recently so I thought I would pass on what I discovered. I was told the XP Mode with W7 was Virtual PC but it is not. My VMs that worked just fine before ran at glacial speeds in the built in VM. I looked online and found hundreds with the same problem and others that it ran fine for. I uninstalled the system component and installed Virtual PC 2007 and not only is it super-fast but I have a lot more control and options.
