firebuff55123
I'm using 3.7.4.1 on Win7. I've recently switched from a desktop to a laptop. My laptiop requires that it's keyboard 'FN' key be hit before an F12 as the F12 is normally used for other functions. This means that all my previous macros that used the F12 key no longer function. I've been trying to figure out how send a 'FN' key before the F12 with no luck. Help? firebuff55123
Samrae
On my HP laptops Text Type of F12 works without having to do Fn down/up. But, I changed something (in the BIOS I think) to make the F Keys work without having to hold down Fn.
firebuff55123
Ah.... Yes I have ab HP Pavilion laptop as well. YES it's a small; change that needs to be made in the system BIOS... it's the 'Action Key' enable/didable in the System Config setups. That did FIX my macro problem with my FN key now working as they used to on my old other system. THANKS! Dave firebuff55123
acantor
Yep, you have to do it via the Bios. I am quite sure you cannot send the Fn key via Macro Express.
