mdoverman
I have a number of macros that incorporate multiple choice menus with accelerator keys assigned to the menu choices. None of them show the accelerated keys underlined although the accelerator keys do function normally. This is on a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1 64 bit. It does not matter whether I have preselected a menu choice or not. The menu options are set for single choice. I don't recall having this same issue on other PCs running Windows 7. Any help appreciated. Mark
mdoverman
Another gremlin must have been at work, now the accelerator keys are showing up underlined as they should. Go figure. Mark
Cory
This is not a new thing. We discussed this before and there was something to it. You might dig around the forum if you're interested. Might be in the ME3 forum.
Samrae
Did you press and release the Alt key? Windows hides the underlines until you press the Alt key.
Cory
Not always. Sometimes they're immediately apparent. I remember researching this but I don't remember the outcome but it had something to do with Windows form behavior.
Samrae
But my experience has been that when they are not visible pressing and releasing the Alt key makes them visible.
Cory
In most cases I believe that's true.
droodled
I'm just a stubbern xp user that just moved there from 2000 for practical reasons. -Isn't that a simple setting called "Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key". At least it is in 2000 and xp!!
mdoverman
Using the Alt key doesn't seem to make a difference and whether or not the underlining of the accelerator key is there or not seems totally random. I can live with it. Thanks for all the responses.
