terrypin
I tried tackling it by removing this weird registry entry - in vain. That entry is plainly invalid anyway, as the path doesn't exist on this new PC. There is no 'My Documents' on it. So how is it getting recreated when ME Pro runs? -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK
Cory
Are you running MEP in some kind of compatibility mode?

terrypin
Sorted! I had this helpful reply answering my parallel email to Insight: Any macro file that is in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Insight Software Solutions\Macro Express 4\Filesor for 64-bit versions of Windows HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Nod\Insight Software Solutions\Macro Express 4\Filesis defined as a persistent macro file. It cannot be closed by the user. There were two identical unwanted entries in that registry key. After deleting both, I was pleased to find that samples.mex disappeared. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK
