Macro Express, AutoHotkey and VBA: an Introduction to Software Shortcuts During this 90-minute demonstration, discover ways to modify the behaviour of keyboards, mice, and applications to better fit the physical, cognitive, and learning needs of users with disabilities. Creating macros and implementing automation features are indispensable skills for assistive technologists who provide computer access solutions. Topics: Macro Express, AutoHotkey, and VBA basics. Keyboard remapping, e.g., add a "Tab" key to the right side of the keyboard, or "Backspace" to the left side. Change the behaviour of mice (and other pointing devices). Create shortcuts to automate repetitive tasks that are activated automatically, or by clicking, typing, or pressing key combinations.
