Wait a few minutes and install the new version.
Got it.
Now THAT'S what I call great service and support.
Again, thanks!

An hour after releasing v 4.2.0.1 we discovered a bug. Macro Express v 4.2.0.1 was withdrawn and will be replaced shortly by v 4.2.1.1. We apologize for the confusion.
How big is the bug?
Is it suggested that I uninstall 4.2.0.1 and reinstall 4.1.7.1, or can I just wait until 4.2.1.1 is released?
Thanks!

This morning, I downloaded and installed Macro Express Pro 4.2.0.1.
Now, 4.1.7.1 appears to be the latest version.
What happened?

Thank you, Cory and Alan!

I tried that, but upon re-opening ME, it returned.

Am I missing something?
Is there a way to open ME without viewing the Sidebar?
Thanks!

Ok, scratch all that.
The macro just lagged, the beep followed the lag. So I'm going to conclude that the lag is within the activation itself.
I guess now I need to follow Kevin's third suggestion and contact Support.
I've noticed that my Window Title activations are also lagging, since updating to 4.1.0.1.

Good talking to you, earlier...
It sounds like everything is under control.
Again, thanks!

Never one to say "die," I'm heading back to the drawing board...

I've exported all 'm' macros to a new file, eliminated all sensitive data, and will send the file to Support, shortly.
Thanks!

In the case of my 'ma' ShortKey...
- 13 existing 'm' ShortKeys, none of which are disabled.
- A ShortKey prefix of '//.' (Without the period.)
Sorry, but with all the confidential data contained in my macros, I can't send a file.
-
Starting with "m?"
Yes, many.
-
Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, was it specifically an "ma" activation?

Unfortunately, a search for "g" doesn't jump to the first macro beginning with "g,"
but to the first macro that contains a "g."
I'm heading off to do a FEATURE REQUEST.
See ya!

In ME's editor, pressing a letter would cause the editor to jump to the first macro starting with that letter.
While this function doesn't appear to exist in MEP, does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks!

Again, I have "Never backup automatically" selected, and the problem continues.
-
I can shut down MEP with no problem. When I try to exit Windows via logoff or shutdown and MEP is running in the SYS Tray, MEP will sometimes hang (more often than not) and refuse to shutdown (at Windows request) and I will have to manually shutdown MEP via the END NOW button on the displayed dialog box.
I'm having the same problem.
NOTE: No backups are scheduled; "Never backup automatically" is selected.
For clarification, the END NOW button is associated with a Windows pop-up ("End Program - Macro Express Pro | This program is not responding..."), not an MEP pop-up.
Read Only File
in Macro Express and Macro Express Pro
Posted
I'm trying to copy a .mex file from one computer to another, but I cant seem to change the read-only status.
In Macro Express Explorer > Options > Preferences > File System > Read Only Prompt, I've selected Prompt about read-only status on macro files, and the Default Action is Turn off the read-only flag, but the file remains a read-only file.
HELP!!!
