Quickly Record Temporary Macro

I often need to record small temporary keyboard macros while working in a text editor. I assign such macro to some unused shortkey (usually, grave accent) and run them only a couple of times.

When I need to record my next macro I have to delete the previously recorded "grave accent" macro, or else it will play back when I try to assign the same shortkey to the newly recorded macro.

Is there any way to quickly record macros for the same shortkey without having to open Macro Explorer and deleting previously recorded macro?

Thanks.
