  1. No, it does not work. I don´t see how i can make two windows with the same name visible. MEX only addresses one of those two regardless of the used commands like "Window Activating" or "Set Window Order"
  2. I mean not making them both active! I just meant making them visible. But now it strikes me i could use "Repeat with windows" and the "Set window order" command! Thank You Alexandra
  3. Sometimes i use more than one instance of a program. Now i have two windows with the same name. s there a way to activate both of them? I only manage to activate one of those? I think i already asked this long ago. But if i go on my profile "My Content" i only see my posts from this year. How can i find / filter my older posts? Thank You Alexandra
  4. >> I find is a really bad practice! << It´s less a practice then a necessity if you would like set your 4 x 18 G-Keys or part of them on a Logitech 510 fast to a new applicaton. I once exported a set of 72 windowspecific macros. I import this, set the according .exe, ready to go! Back to topic: How does it / could it work?
  5. I like activating macros via commandline: "c:\program files (x86)\Macro Express Pro\MeProc.exe" /AMacroname However some of my macros have the same name. How can i access those without altering the macroname. I noticed that macros have index numbers. Can i use those? Thank You Alexandra
  6. Ok, but this way i´d have to modify each macro i like to repeat! I can´t see the danger of an infinite loop if i would trigger the last macro run via a special keycommand! Thank You Alexandra
  7. Sometimes you need to trigger the same macro again and again. Is it somehow possible to create a macro which starts the last macro run? Thank You Alexandra
  8. I go nuts! After installing plenty of window updates and restarting now the shortcuts are working identically on both machines. No idea what made the difference!?! I feel bad about causing all that fuss! But Cory´s registry-tweak was definetly worth it. Thank You Alexandra
  9. Thanks Cory, i do have my workarounds too when it comes to accessing loads of macros ergonomically. E.G i assign them to CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + Letter. Not ergonomic? Wait! Then i have a macro (ALT + X) which presses CTRL + SHIFT + ALT DOWN, shows a keyboardmap with all macros assigned to such modifyers and waits for a keypress. After i typed that key (without any modifyer) it presses CTRL + SHIFT + ALT UP and let vanish the keyboardmap. As you already guessed the regarding macro with that complex shortkey is then activated. So i type an ergonomic hotkey and let then the activation macro run the desired macro by pressing one key. Although i´m doing fine it disturbs me that two pc´s (same age, same operating system) are behaving differently when it comes to recognizing keycombinations with the WIN-Key. Thank You Alexandra
  10. Strangly, on the one pc MEX is still non-reactive to WIN + X, A. So i guess there must be something else involved. Thank You Alexandra
  11. This is amazing Cory! Just with this litte Reg.-Tweak all those combinations like (Win, Win+Ctrl, Win+Alt) + Keys and Numbers are now free again providing lots of ergonomic hotkeys for activating macros. I can only recommend deactivating those Default - Winkeyfunctions especially if you don´t use them! Thank You very much! Alexandra
  12. As i said nothing happens pressing WIN + A. Maybe the site provides infos that could help. Could you give us the link? Thank You Alexandra
  13. I prefer simple hotkeys which i can easliy access with the left hand as you never know when your right one is busy moving the mouse! WIN + X and WIN + A are those. The strange thing about those 2 hotkeys is that on one pc those are working perfectly while on another machine those are simply ignored and nothing happens. If you for example press them in the New Macro / Assign Hotkey - Menu the entry stays blank. Win 7, 64 Bit is used on both! Thank You Alexandra
  14. Since years i experience trouble with the "Set Window Order" - Command. While the option to set a window to bottom works fine it´s hard to bring windows on top. If found the triple combination: "Remove topmost status and place on top" "Always on top" "Remove topmost status and place on top" in that order working most reliable but i guess that´s not the way it intent to be, no? Thank You Alexandra
  15. Is it possible to disable or to delete System Macros? It seems that the only thing to modify those is assigning a different hotkey! Thank You Alexandra
  16. Thank you Paul. Interfacing with MEP is important for me. I do want to call AutoIt Scripts from MEP and start MEP Macros from AutoIt. Did i understand you right that this is possible? Thank You Alexandra
  17. Well, actually i don´t wanted to learn a whole language! VB.net to master would take certainly more time as for AutoIt or AutoHotkey, no? Thank You Alexandra
  18. I´m looking for a tool complementing MEX Pro. AutoIt was recommended but i also did read a lot about AutoHotkey. Which would you recommend? I´m pretty comfortable with writing all kind of macros with MEX Pro by now but i guess both have a different language compared to MEX so a learning curve is involved in both. I´m also a bit familiar with Basic. It looks like AutoHotkey ist easier to learn while AutoIT has a broader range of automation functionality. Is that true? Which would you recommend? Thank You Alexandra
  19. Thanks everybody so far. I also do read about autohotkey a lot. Let´s move this to a new topic as it might be of common interest. Hope to CU there! Thank You Alexandra
  20. Interesting. I was always wondering if there is another product around which could complement the functionality of MEX Pro or evading some of it´s flaws. Can you recommend AutoIt as an additional helper for tweaking and automating your system? Thank You Alexandra
  21. Thank you. I was not sure about this. It would be useful although. I guess it´s a restriction by windows itself! Thank You Alexandra
  22. Can MEX Pro set/change or alter in any way a title of an window? Thank You Alexandra
  23. I lost my category column, too! I have not the guts to mess around with the registry! Hopefully this will be fixed one day! I also would like to suggest a context menu entry like "Go to category" which selects the category-folder of that macro. Thank You Alexandra
  24. Great Samrae! I did not know this! There other useful Macros there too! Thank You Alexandra
  25. Please read my post again. Not Macro Express (macexpro.exe) itself but the Explorer Window of MEX consumes the power. Therefore i´m closing it and looking for a way to start it via a shortcut. Ascessing the MacEdit.exe directly as i mentioned is not possible! Thank You Alexandra
