Closing Ms Outlook

Recommended Posts

In the first step of a macro, the "Program ShutDown" command is used to close MS Outlook. It works fine, however, it causes the "Send Error Report to Microsoft" screen to appear. I can work around this by first activating the Outlook window and shutting it down with keystrokes, but I'd rather use the "Program Shutdown" command. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A non-ME solution is to disable error reporting (Control Panel/System/Advanced/Error Reporting). If running scheduled macros unattended, it's a good idea disabling reporting to avoid hangups. There are many reasons to keep error reporting enabled so it's a personal/situation preference.

I'll leave an ME solution to someone who works with error reporting enabled.
