cardena
Is purchasing the bundle that includes licenses for Macro Express Pro 6 and Macro Express Pro Portable a worthwhile investment? What benefits come with using the portable version? What is the size of the portable version, and what capacity thumb drive would you suggest? Thank you. acantor
Macro Express must be installed on the hard drive to work. In contrast, Macro Express Portable does not need to be installed on the hard drive. Macro Express Portable runs from a portable drive connected to a PC, e.g., on a USB thumb drive. When running Macro Express Portable, macro files and temporary files are stored on the portable drive. ME Portable leaves no trace on the hard drive of the PC. Samrae
Macro Express Pro Portable takes up around 65 MB without macros, backup copies of macros, or other temporary files. I have other portable programs on the USB drive where Macro Express Pro Portable is installed. So, the size of thumb drive you need depends on what other programs you put on it.
