TsunamiZ
Can I safely install 3.6 over 3.5e to preserve my current settings and macros? Any problems I need to be aware of after the upgrade? Thanks.
kevin
If you have installed Macro Express v 3.5e in a folder other than the default folder then you will want to choose 'Custom Installation' when prompted. See Install Didn't Find Previous Version for a discussion on that issue. The installer has been changed to suggest that advanced users choose 'Custom Installation' That change will be available in the next release of Macro Express. Other than that, there should be no problems. However, to be safe, if you have extensive changes to the preferences, you may want to export the program configuration and save it. Click Tools | Export Program Configuration.
TsunamiZ
so basically the only user items overwritten will be the config preferences--they will be reset with the 3.6 version?
kevin
The preferences should not be overwritten. If you read the other topic, that became an issue. To be safe, you could save the preferences.
