shortkeys no longer working

I have a couple shortkeys setup to use `` as the activation and it worked fine for over a year and suddenly stopped working on one of my Windows 7 computers. I rebooted, restored keyboard and mouse hooks, made sure the use prefix keys is selected under options and `` is in keys, preferences, shortkeys.

Any ideas?

Double check the macros, especially the activation and scope.

 

Try changing the prefix to something simple, e.g., "Q" or "5," and retest.

 

Try changing the prefix to a suffix, and retest.

Call ISS support. They are very helpful.

 

Try booting into safe mode.

Try your macro file on another machine.

Look into and other utilities that might be running. I know some utilities use hotkeys and such and can often conflict.

Scan for malware. I imagine a keystroke logger could mess with you.

 

That's all I got off the top of my head.
