jsampsonyyyyy
If I find I have created a macro with an inappropriate hotkey to activate it, how do I change the hotkey? There is a facility to add activations, but 'hotkey' is greyed out.
Cory
Open Macro Explorer. Double click the macro to open it in the editor or right click the macro in Macro Explorer and choose "Properties". Either will bring up an "Activations" tab. Here you can add, Remove, or change the properties of an activation.
Look_Up
There is a facility to add activations, but 'hotkey' is greyed out. The hotkey button is only grey out when you already have set a hotkey. Go into macro express editor, open your macro, choose registercard "Activations" - use properties button to change the current hotkey or "Add" a new one ! jsampsonyyyyy
Thanks - this works with the following provisos: I think "registercard" here means "tab". I find that the properties button is greyed out until one selects the hotkey one wants to change. If one imports macros it must be a common requirement that the hotkey must be changed to avoid clashes with existing macros. Perhaps this should be covered in the user manual. Samrae
Here is what I do: 1. Double-click the macro I want change 2. Click on Activations tab 3. Double click on the HotKey activation that appears in the upper left corner. 4. The Select a HotKey dialog comes up. Choose another HotKey. 5. Click the OK button.
